Whether you’re on Windows or Linux, we’ve got you covered with lean, portable clients that don’t waste a single clock cycle.

  • For Windows 11: We recommend AdiIRC. Lean, highly customizable, and perfect for power users.
  • For Linux (Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch): We recommend HexChat. It’s the gold standard for X11/Wayland – stable, open-source, and integrates perfectly into your workflow.

How to get on board:

  1. Server Entry: Add irc.weed.ovh to your server list.
  2. Encryption: Use Port 6697 and enable SSL/TLS. We don’t do unencrypted traffic here. 🛡️
  3. Tor Mode (Optional):
    • Open your Tor Browser (it acts as your local proxy).
    • In your client (AdiIRC or HexChat), go to Network/Proxy Settings.
    • Set Type to SOCKS5, Host to 127.0.0.1, and Port to 9150.
    • Use our dedicated Onion-Address as the Server: w33d333hbccuvqjievplneszwrl2uyrizszpdvsbysdfe2kaxsuhqkyd.onion

📱 Mobile Setup: HexDroid (IRC in your Pocket)

Stay connected to the greenhouse while you’re out exploring the world. HexDroid is the go-to app for Android—clean Material Design, battery-efficient, and rock-solid.

The Mobile Workflow:

  1. Standard Connect: Add the network Weed.ovh, use Port 6697 (SSL).
  2. Going Dark (Tor):
    • Fire up Orbot and hit start. 🤖
    • In HexDroid, enable Use Proxy in the network settings.
    • Set the Proxy to SOCKS5 (Host: 127.0.0.1, Port: 9150).
    • Set the Server to the Onion-Address and you’re communicating from behind the digital curtain.

Getting started is as easy as a system reboot. You don’t need a formal invite to say hello, but registering your nick makes the garden feel like home.
